Avec Anéou, j'ai passé un super week-end très enrichissant. Nicola est très ouvert, accueillant, et surtout il a une philosophie du chien qui m'a beaucoup surprise. Il observe chaque maître/chien, conseille les lignes idéales en fonction de la vitesse d'un chien. Pour ma part, j'ai été étonnée d'entendre Nicola me déconseiller certains pivots, mais j'ai très bien compris le raisonnement, et il est évident que certains pivots avec un chien si rapide sont plus à déconseiller. C'est la première fois que je vais à un séminaire où je n'entends pas "Anéou doit faire ses arrêts aux zones, tu dois être très conséquente". Nicola a beaucoup observé Anéou aux zones, calculé ses foulées et il s'est donné les moyens de nous aider avec des régulateurs. Dans l'idéal, Nicola m'a dit qu'il serait bon avec la grande vitesse de Anéou qu'il puisse marquer un petit arrêt aux zones. Alors que j'ai trop souvent entendu, Anéou ne veut pas s'arrêter, il n'en fait qu'à sa tête, Nicola lui voit la situation différemment, il a vu que Anéou est très obéissant, réagit excellemment bien sur tout le parcours, et que pour les zones ce n'est pas qu'il ne veut pas s'arrêter mais qu'il ne peut pas et qu'il ne comprend pas. J'ai été très surprise et aussi touchée. Au final, c'est ce que je ressens de Anéou, car s'il ne voulait pas écouter il le ferait sur l'ensemble d'un parcours et non juste aux zones. Nicola m'a également dit qu'Anéou semble vouloir éviter le conflit. Ce qui, à mon avis, est absolument juste. Vous verrez sur la vidéo que Nicola se donne vraiment pour calculer "les" foulées de Anéou, et nous aide au mieux. Nous allons travailler avec les régulateurs, là aussi Nicola a bien dit "si tu pouvais le travailler qu'une fois par semaine on peut oublier, mais si tu peux le faire chez toi alors vas-y". J'ai voulu démarrer le lundi, mais depuis hier c'est la neige qui nous empêche de continuer, vivement que nous puissions reprendre à fond. Tu as raison en disant que c'est trop dommage ce problème de zones de contact. Merci de m'avoir donné la confiance pour tout le reste, merci d'avoir su voir Anéou tel qu'il l'est, et merci d'avoir su voir notre relation fusionnelle. Tu es bien le seul à avoir vu et su observer l'état du kennel de Anéou, les couvertures détruites, et quand je t'ai raconté ce que Anéou fait si je ne lui mets pas de couverture pour détruire, tu semblais très bien connaître la situation.
Pour terminer, je tiens à remercier très sincèrement Nicola pour sa grande ouverture d'esprit, son respect du chien, et pour toute sa philosophie et sa bonne humeur.

Aneou and I have spent a great weekend and we have learned a lot. Nicola is very open-minded, welcoming and has a surprising philosophy of dogs. He observes each owner/dog, gives advices on the ideal line to follow according to the speed of the dog. I was surprised to hear Nicola telling me not to do certain front crosses and now I understand why. With such a fast dog, some front crosses are not advisable. It is the first time that I go to a workshop and don't hear "Aneou must stop on the contact zones, you must be very consistent". Nicola watched Aneou on the contact zones, counted his strides and helped us with stride regulators. He told us that ideally, with his speed, Aneou should only stop briefly on the zones. Despite what I have heard too often, Aneou does not want to stop. Nicola sees the matter differently. He saw that Aneou is very obedient and reacts very well on the agility run. As for the contact zones, it is not that he does not wantto stop but that he can't and does not understand why. I was very surprised and very touched. As a matter of fact, it is also what I feel, because if he wasn't listening, he would make mistakes everywhere on the agility run, not just on the contact zones. Nicola also thinks that Aneou wants to avoid conflicts and I believe he is absolutely right.
You will see on the video that Nicola took a lot of trouble to count Aneou's strides and helped us as best as he could. We are going to work with stride regulators. There again, Nicola said, "If you can only work once a week, forget it, but if you can work at home, then go for it".
I wanted to start last Monday, but, since yesterday, the snow kept us from continuing. I'm looking forward to starting again.
He is right when he says it is really a pity, this contact zone problem...

Nicola is the first one to have noticed the state of Aneou's kennel and his torn blankets. When I told him what Aneou does if I don't give him a blanket to shred, he seemed to know the situation very well.
